Tier 2 - Support

You may have arrived here if you…

  • Are noticing picky eating, food aversion, or mealtime stress

  • Want support for grasping, coordination, handwriting, or fine-motor skills

  • Feel your child may have retained reflexes affecting movement or behavior

  • Are concerned about milestone delays such as sitting, crawling, or early play skills

  • Want help building independence with dressing, feeding, tooth brushing, or age-appropriate routines

  • Are seeking focused, play-based OT support to help your child move forward

However you arrived here, we're so glad you’re here.

Let’s explore how OTier Pediatric Therapy can help your family reach new tiers together.

Tier 2
Explained

Direct occupational therapy support is embedded into daily routines, with guided caregiver involvement. Sessions focus on modeling, co-regulation, and practical strategies for feeding, sensory processing, and functional skills—designed to support carryover at home and in everyday life.

Tier 2 is not only teaching-focused. but also hands-on —your hands! Your OT teaches you exactly what to do with your child, in real time, during real routines (meals, transitions, play, bedtime, daily care). Sessions are hands-on and step-by-step—your OT models strategies, supports you while you practice, and helps you adjust the approach until it fits your child and your home.

You’ll leave each session with a clear plan you can repeat between visits, so progress doesn’t depend on the therapist being present. This tier is ideal for families who want practical, hands-on support that builds confidence, consistency, and lasting carryover.

Designed for

  • Families who want hands-on intervention to confidently support their child during daily routines

  • Children with sensory processing differences, regulation challenges, or feeding concerns

  • Children with fine- or gross-motor delays, grasping pattern differences, or visual-motor needs

  • Families who understand what to do but need support learning how to do it in real life
